WEATHER: MUCH NEEDED RAIN ON THE WAY

Storms have been a real feature over the last couple of days and there are more to come.

A passing front and associated trough is set to trigger widespread rain and storms that should see most of the region receive some much needed wet weather.

That approaching system helped fire up more storms across the Hunter and North West today.

Tomorrow the cloud will increase and temperatures will finally drop after record breaking November heat.

The slow moving system will contract to north east New South Wales during tomorrow, before arriving at the Gold Coast on Wednesday.
