Organisers of the ‘Hell On Wheels” mountain biking tour say this year’s trek will be as challenging as ever.
Entries to join the the eight day cycle opened today – those brave enough to sign on will journey across some of the North Coast’s most stunning yet treacherous terrain.
“It’s always a challenge. We have got three 300km plus days this year so it’s a longer ride than we did last year but it’s not quite as hilly as last year’s ride.’
The event is an annual fundraiser for the region’s rescue helicopter, last year raking in more than $40,000 for the service.
Riders take off from the Lismore helibase on the 5th of October.
