WEATHER UPDATE: HOT HOT HOT

There is a bit of relief on the way for coastal areas, stretching from Gosford to Coffs Harbour in the form of a southerly change pushing through overnight.

This won’t be strong enough to fully clear the heat so on Sunday the dreaded north westerly winds will kick in even harder and the mercury will rise further.

High 30s and low 40s are expected across the Greater Hunter and North West. Mid to high 30s along the coast, with a strong seabreeze drawing in.

The heat will continue on Monday before we start to see some rain develop on Tuesday and Wednesday.
