Council’s promising safer roads for students heading to and from the city’s largest school.
A one-and-a-half kilometre stretch between Discovery Drive and Monterey Keys Drive, near Helensvale State High, has just been upgraded.
“We’ve got 2,300 kids in total. And being able to link Helensvale to Monterey Keys in a safe way for the first time is fantastic.”
To relieve congestion, council’s now seeking more funding to link the road with Hope Island.
