NEWCASTLE TO HOST GAMES IN ASIA FEDERATION CUP

Tens of thousands of football fans are set to descend on Newcastle with the city to host games in the 2015 Asia Federation Cup.
The city will be named as the second NSW venue for the event, which will be the largest football tournament to be held in the country.
The event is expected to draw 45,000 international visitors which will be a major boost for the region’s economy and showcase the area to Asian markets.
Australia and Japan have already qualified as two of the 16 teams to play in the event.
Further information about how Newcastle will be involved in the tournament will be announced later today.
