PLAYERS URGED TO CONSIDER OPTIONS

The best young rugby league talent in the Greater Northern region were treated to a visit by former NRL players today.
Players were told the pitfalls of alcohol and drugs in a seminar focusing on life skills.
Former Australian representative Andrew Ryan says budding stars from the country need to be taught how to survive when they make the move to the city.
“There’s a potential you might have to live in a unit with other guys, who have never cooked before, and it’s all those challenges around a whole new world.”
They were also encouraged to think about potential post-football careers.
