REWARD TO HELP FIND GOOD SAMARITAN’S KIDNAPPED DOG

A dachshund stolen in a carjacking on the Gold Coast is still missing, despite police receiving dozens of calls.

Owners Des and Deirdre Payne have been plastering streets and social media sites with photos of Tau who was pinched, along with the family car, when Des stopped to help at a crash scene.

The thief was one of the victims, who’d been driving a stolen car.

“We’re still hopeful that he’s alive if he’s in the car chances are pretty slim I suppose, we don’t like to tell our daughter that though, but time’s running out.”

They’re offering a reward, and asking people to look out for a champagne coloured Mitsubishi Magna, number plates 776 HMI.
