GLENCORE WORKERS FORCED TO TAKE ANNUAL LEAVE

More than 8000 mining workers will be forced to take annual leave next month, with Glencore shutting down its operations over the Christmas period.
The mining giant will close all of its 20 coal mines across New South Wales and Queensland, which includes one in the Hunter.
Annual leave will be imposed on employees from mid-December due to an oversupply of the commodity.
