RURAL RESIDENTS WARNED TO BE READY FOR BUSHFIRES
Fire fighters are on heightened alert across the state, bracing for dangerous conditions.
This weekend, gusty winds are forecast, while temperatures are likely to climb into the mid to high thirties.
Much of the state remains tinder dry.
“Make sure you know what your plan is, where you’ll go, what you’ll take, if your plan is to stay and defend, make sure your property is prepared to do that, leaving these sorts of decisions to the last minute can prove fatal,” said Brett Loughlin from the Rural Fire Service.
Special rapid response teams and water bombing aircraft are on stand-by.
