UNI STUDENTS TARGET OF THIEVES

Attacks on foreign students in Newcastle continue with police investigating how three international students from the University of Newcastle became the target of thieves last night.
Police say three teenagers broke into a house and forced a 20-year-old Indian student against a wall, before taking off with his wallet.
The University’s Korean Society is also investigating reports that two students were threatened with a knife in the main street of Jesmond last Friday.
The Students’ Association says it’s just the latest in a spate of similar attacks and has been inundated with calls for help from it’s overseas-born members, who have experienced physical and verbal abuse off campus.
