Two people have been charged following a home invasion in the Maitland area last month.
The 45-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman were arrested at Tarro yesterday afternoon after a police operation at Rutherford.
It’s alleged two men forced their way into a home on Maize Street at Tenambit on October 26, threatening the male occupant with a tomohawk and meat cleaver.
The man’s been charged with special aggravated break and enter, as well as numerous charges relating to an arrest warrant.
The woman was charged in relation to an outstanding warrant for driving offenses.
Both will face Maitland Local Court today.
