MORE AGED CARE BEDS IN GLOUCESTER AND FORSTER

Years of campaigning for a new aged care facility to meet growing demand in Forster has paid off with work on a $40 million development underway.
Today the federal Government announced it will fund 144 new aged care places at the Pacific Cape site.
But with the election campaign ramping up, Lyne MP David Gillespie has defended the timing of the announcement.
“The aged care rounds were always scheduled for this time it is something that the coalition values highly,” Mr Gillespie said.
Gloucester will also receive 30 extra beds for its facility.
