WEATHER UPDATE: More rain to come, clearing for weekend.

One more rain band has to move through affecting the NW and Hunter on Friday morning. For the Hunter most of the rain should be cleared by the afternoon as it contracts to the NE. It will move over the Tablelands and the Northern Rivers before clearing, arriving on the Gold Coast Saturday morning taking the best part of the day to clear.
Temperatures will remain quite mild thanks to the NW winds. There is no frost risk Friday morning but frosts will return over the weekend especially Sunday, Monday and Tuesday mornings.
There is a drier, colder air mass set to move in behind this latest wet spell which has broken records around Inverell and Glen Innes making it the Wettest July in about 11 years.
So early next week we will return to bright sunny days and cold frosty nights.
Surfing conditions are small and clean but quite safe for boating.
