SUPPORTERS GO PURPLE FOR RELAY FOR LIFE
The weather may have been less than perfect, but that didn’t stop hundreds from turning out at Glendale in the name of cancer research.
Survivors and carers began the Cancer Council’s annual Relay For Life in blustery conditions.
“It’s such a wonderful community event and the wind won’t put us off. We’ll just carry on regardless.”
“This is my first year at Relay for Life. It’s some time since I went through the process and I’ve been a survivor for a long time.”
The fundraiser’s expected to bank close to $200,000.
