Wayne Edward Jones will serve more than 20 years behind bars, sentenced over the murder of Central Coast woman Michelle Reynolds in a Coffs Harbour motel room in 2012.
The court has heard Ms Reynolds travelled to Coffs Harbour with Jones on Sunday December 9, before they embarked on a week of heavy drug-taking.
By the following Saturday, Ms Reynolds had been beaten and strangled to death.
Her body was later found in bushland at Bonville.
Jones was found guilty of murder in October.
He’s been sentenced to a minimum 20 years and 9 months jail.
