FORMER UNE CHANCELLOR FOUND GUILTY
Former Chancellor of the University of New England, John Cassidy, has been found corrupt by the I-C-A-C, for misusing confidential information in the sale of an Armidale hotel.
The corruption watchdog found he told his business partner, Darrel Hendry, to invest in the Tattersalls hotel, which was being sold by the uni.
The pub was acquired for just under $3 million by Mr Hendry in January 2006.
Mr Cassidy isn’t expected to face any punishment.
