BIKERS FOR KIDS TOY RUN SET TO BE EVEN BIGGER
Every year, it raises about $75,000 for disadvantaged families at Christmas, but this year, the Bikers for Kids Toy Run is hoping to generate even more.
The 2014 event was launched today, and for the first time, commercial partners have come onboard to help take things up a gear.
About 6,000 bikers are expected to ride from Stockton to the Foreshore.
“It’s about providing a great christmas for families that otherwise may not have it, and for mums and dads that can’t explain why santa didn’t come, so it really does make that sort of difference.”
People are being urged to visit the Toy Run’s website and follow the links to register for the Newcastle event, or donate.
