A plan to shut down the Nita Reed Dialysis Centre in Taree has been put on hold.
The decision follows a major backlash from the Manning Valley community last month when it was revealed the dialysis chairs would be moved to Forster Private Hospital.
Hunter New England Health says it’s taking the feedback from the community seriously and is putting the plans on hold, while it carries out more community consultation.
