SPRING BAITING FOR WILD DOGS BEGINS
The State Government has announced it’s targeting wild dogs this spring.
More than 1000 properties are in the sights of 62 wild dog control groups, with more than 240,000 baits to be laid across the state.
Research undertaken in the Northern Tablelands saw a permit granted to increase the rate of aerial bating from 10 to 40 baits per kilometre.
Throughout the spring initiative more than 4,400 kilometres will be baited.
