FIVE ARRESTED AS ANTI-CSG PROTESTS RAMP UP IN GLOUCESTER
Fracking is expected to begin within days at AGL’S Waukivory site at Gloucester, with the Office of Coal Seam Gas today giving the company final approval.
Meanwhile, there were more dramatic scenes at the site this morning.
Anti-CSG protestors prevented trucks from entering the site – local woman – Kate Fry – chained herself to an entry gate.
Three people have since been charged with causing an obstruction, while two have been issued with traffic infringement notices
It comes just a day after four protestors were charged with trespassing.
