NO TRIGGER FOR VOTE OF NO CONFIDENCE IN GUNNEDAH
The Gunnedah community is up in arms, over council’s decision to relocate the
Visitor Information Centre to Chandos Street, as well as making the street one way.
As a result, 900 letters have been sent to Member for Tamworth Kevin Anderson in protest.
This week, Mr Anderson met with Local Government Minister Paul Toole to discuss the issue, but says there’s no need for a vote of no confidence yet.
“What happens now is the department will look at it, ring council, ask them about process in terms of their consultation and the decisions about what they’re making at the moment and go from there.”
