The independent candidates running for Newcastle’s top job in the Lord Mayoral by-election, have drawn the first four spots on the ballot paper.
Among them, Acting Lord Mayor Brad Luke, who only announced his intention to run today.
Order for the ballot is:

2.David Chapman, Ind
3.Rod Holding, Ind
4.Brad Luke, Ind
5.Nuatali Nelmes, Labor
6.Joe Ferguson, Australia First Party
7.Therese Doyle, The Greens
The by-election will be held on November 15.
