The Central Coast Marlins have got their State Baseball League season off to a swinging start, with a 9-1 win over Canterbury at Springfield.
The Marlins came out strong in the bottom of the first inning, leading the visitors 4-nil.
Dual Olympian, Craig Anderson, starred on the mound for the home team, who managed to keep the Vikings run-less till the very end.
The two teams will play again on Wednesday night at Watanobbi Oval.
