DISABILITY SUPPORT WORKERS RALLY OUTSIDE STATE PARLIAMENT

150 Hunter-based support workers rallied alongside colleagues in Sydney today, calling on the Premier to keep disability and home care services in public hands.
The group, which travelled by bus from Newcastle, joined thousands in a march down Macquarie Street to state parliament.
“We’re asking the Premier to show a heart and support people with disabilities and keep ADHC for people as a last resort”
The rally, the latest in a long-running fight by the union against privatisation, following the roll-out of the NDIS.
