PIGLETS RACE IN THE COFFS PICKLE PORK PLATE
Pig racing was the long weekend entertainment this afternoon at the Hoey Moey Hotel in Coffs Harbour.
The piglets put on a show for charity in the Pickle Pork Plate.
Punters were allocated different colours worn by the little porkers through an auction and a raffle.
“They’re very smart animals, that’s another thing I like to show people how smart they are because these fellows here have only been racing for a week or so,” said pig trainer Kevin Kiley.
Proceeds go to the Westpac Helicopter Rescue Service – the racing pigs retire from the sport when they’re four months old.
