Zenon Caravella will return to the Newcastle Jets as its new midfielder for the upcoming A-league season.
Caravella was granted release earlier this year to take time away from professional football.
He says the break has given him a renewed desire to play.
“My time away from professional football changed my perspective,” Caravella said.
“I want to do what I love and what I enjoy and that’s playing football at the highest level I can.”
Coach Phil Stubbins has welcomed his return.
“Zenon’s decision to come back to the Newcastle Jets is great news for us.
“After speaking to the staff and people I respect in the game, I think Zenon will come in and enhance what we’re trying to do as a Club this coming campaign,” he said.
