Newcastle Council has released its concept designs for the redevelopment of Newcastle Beach.
It’s reconvened its community reference group, as it prepares for an upcoming 11-kilometre revitalisation of the coastline.
The designs take into account community feedback, including concerns that a proposed skate bowl would intrude on the beach.
It’s hoped work will begin as early as next year.
