WALK RAISES FUNDS AND AWARENESS FOR SUICIDE PREVENTION

A man has walked all the way from Sydney to Coolangatta, raising $18,000 for suicide prevention.
Marco Mangano’s wife Jackie took her own life three years ago, aged 34.
“If we can raise as much money as we can for Lifeline for their counseling service and raise awareness about mental illness about how it’s actually a medical condition and bring it out into the light for what it actually is.”
Marco began walking as therapy to deal with his loss.
He’s also a podiatrist and has used his training to ensure his feet were in shape during the exhausting four week journey.
