Hastings motorists are being encouraged to report any road encounters with wild deer over the last 12 months.
Police are working with North Coast Local Land Services to reduce the animal’s impacts on the local community.
More than 80 road accidents have been recorded since 2009, and police say reporting incidents will help them monitor trends over time.
