NETBALLERS IMPRESS COACHING STAFF

NIAS netballers competed against each other yesterday, for places in next month’s Academy Games squads.

Coaches are picking two teams, with players given a chance to impress Netball New South Wales scouts.

While first year squad members are just 13, they have been testing their more experienced team mates.

“They’ve got a lot of a way to go, compared to the 16 year olds. But, you can see it from day one at Academy to halfway through the season, and then again towards the end.”

Gunnedah’s state Under 17s development squad member Eliza Perkins will captain the side.
