Following the Moree Boomerang’s grand final win on Burt Jovanovich Oval on Sunday,
Moree Shire Council is eager for the ground’s $1.75 million upgrade to get underway.
The make-over includes a second playing surface, better lighting, a new canteen and an indoor training facility.
“$1.75 million grant to improve that whole facility out there. It will be two sporting fields, it will be better amenities and facilities. Lighting and you know a much better ground to play on which is really important for our players.”
Work on the precinct will begin in the coming months.
