TWO TEENAGERS CHARGED OVER FATAL STABBING
Two teenagers have been charged over the fatal stabbing of a man in Port Macquarie’s main street yesterday morning.
Just before 2am, four males were involved in a fight outside the Commonwealth Bank on Horton Street.
It’s alleged a 16-year-old boy produced a knife and stabbed a 25-year-old man in the chest several times.
Police say the boy and his friend fled the scene in a ute, while bystanders went to the injured man’s aid.
He was taken to Port Macquarie Base Hospital, but died two hours later.
An 18-year-old man attended Kempsey Police Station yesterday afternoon, where he was charged with accessory after the fact to murder.
At around 6:45pm, a 16-year-old boy also attended the station – he was charged with murder.
Both males will appear in court today.
