Environmental approvals have been granted for the Pacific Highway upgrade between Woolgoolga and Ballina.
The first section of the $565 million project to be built will be the stretch between Woolgoolga and Glenugie.
It’s expected to create around 2,500 jobs in the region when construction begins early next year.
