Five years after road works were first carried out on the Middleton-Joyce bridge the most recent upgrade is almost complete.
But the bridge will need to be closed to traffic from Monday with reconstruction and resurfacing works to be carried out.
Eastbound traffic will be diverted to Wingham via Gloucester Road… Westbound cars will be sent along Tinonee Road.
A number of issues, including a dispute between council and the contractor has meant the bridge has remained unfinished.
It should be complete by the end of next week.
