TWEED HEADS ARREST OVER ALLEGED DRUG AND WEAPONS OFFENCES

A man will face Tweed Heads Court after police allegedly located drugs, a sum of cash, and an electronic stun device disguised as a torch.

Earlier this week, a 25-year-old driver was stopped by police after his vehicle mounted a median strip on Wharf Street in Tweed Heads.

The man was arrested and charged with possessing a prohibited drug and weapon and other offences.

He will appear at Tweed Heads Local Court later this month.
