PARLIAMENT TO DISCUSS BAT PROBLEM

A flying fox infestation has taken over Inverell in the past year, with 50,000 making the banks of the McIntyre River home.
The issue is expected to be debated in parliament, after Northern Tablelands MP Adam Marshall lodged a petition with 10,000 signatures to the Legislative Assembly.
The petition, which demands a solution, has been backed by communities on the North Coast, with Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour suffering from a similar problem.
