COFFS SCHOOLS SET NEW WORLD RECORD FOR CHILD PROTECTION

Coffs Harbour High and Public schools combined forces today to set a new world record for the number of love-hearts they could form with their hands.
More than 800 students gathered on an oval for the occasion – at least 300 participants more than the previous record.
The event was organised by the child protection group Bravehearts.
“It’s a Queensland based organisation but they do send safety awareness programs out to all schools in New South Wales,” said Bravehearts volunteer Mel Kemp.
Today’s record attempt should be acknowledged officially within a couple of weeks.
