TAMWORTH FLASHMOB’S FOR R U OK? DAY

Today marks R U OK? Day, and today, Tamworth shoppers were surprised by a Flashmob, dancing to make them ‘happy’.

Local health professionals joining in with the Tamworth City Dance Academy for the show.

With suicide one of the leading causes of death, Headspace believes the day is a good opportunity to ask friends and family the simple question.

“We thought a flashmob was a really fun way of breaking down that stigma and stereotype that mental illness is something that’s scary and something that people need to be afraid of and a flashmob was an exciting way to do that and I think the feel good vibes here today prove that that can be done.”
