PUBLIC HEARING INTO PROPOSED FACILITIES AT WILLIAMTOWN RAAF BASE
Plans to prepare Williamtown RAAF base for the arrival of 72 new F-35A aircraft, were under the microscope in Raymond Terrace today.
The Parliamentary Public Works Committee held a public hearing into the proposed works, including extending the runway to 10,000 feet.
“The role of the public works committee is to make sure we are getting value for money because tax payers, it’s a huge project.”
Noise concerns were also discussed, with defence officials outlining attempts at community consultation.
