The Broadwater Marine Project will hit an iceberg if a local indigenous family gets its way.
Pauline Housten says, her family has traditional rights to the area, as her grandmother and siblings were born at Mount Tamborine.
“There has been other tribes, other claimants, that have been through the courts, with no success, they had no genealogy reports, no connection to country, and our family has got it” she said.
They’ll submit a native title claim in two weeks.
