Tamworth’s CBD has received two more taxi ranks following completion of work carried out to split up late night crowds.
One has been established on Brisbane Street near the Imperial Hotel and the other on Peel Street near the Albert Hotel.
A grant of more than $50,000 allowed council to install safety railings, lighting and appropriate seating and signage.
Closed circuit television at both ranks will be linked to the existing CBD network.
