1930’S STEAM TRAIN ARRIVES IN TAMWORTH

The community gathered at the Tamworth train station, to catch a glimpse of a 1930’s steam train, famous for transporting express passengers across the state.
The Locomotive 3642 made four round trips from Tamworth to Kootingal today and will do the same tomorrow.
“We like to bring it out to the country to share it with the communities. A lot of kids these days, it’s lovely to see the smiles on their face, a lot of kids would never have seen a steam engine.”
