WEATHER UPDATE: A SWELL WEEKEND ON THE WAY

The big swell is set to peak as the low spirals back towards the coast tonight. This will maintain the strong southerly winds to kick start the weekend and keep those patchy showers rolling across the Hunter coast. The southern protected point breaks will continue to rock with the impressive swell. Offshore boating is not recommended.

The system will begin to move away from the coast during the day making for a fine Sunday for all. Mild weather is on the way ahead of a cold outbreak during the middle of next week to help chill out the first few days of Spring.
