JRPP DEFERS CONTROVERSIAL BOARDING HOUSE DEVELOPMENT
Plans for a controversial four storey boarding house at Ourimbah have been hit with a roadblock, with the Joint Regional Planning Panel last night imposing six restrictions on its design.
The development will now have to be down-sized to three stories, include more communal rooms, natural light and a social impact statement.
The Glen Road Development Action Group has contested the plans, saying the size would destroy the character of the old village.
Revised plans will have to be re-submitted to Wyong Council, before returning to the planning panel.
