A 19-year-old man was lucky to escape serious injury this morning, after the truck he was travelling in, which was transporting gas, crashed on South Ballina Beach Road.
Amid fears of an explosion, rescues crews worked to free the teenager.
He was later conveyed to Ballina Hospital with minor injuries.
After closing the road, Rural Fire Service crews quickly cleared the scene of any possible danger.
