A 47-year-old man faced court in Tamworth today over an armed robbery that occurred late yesterday afternoon.
Police claim just after three o’clock, the man threatened two builders with a pocket knife, before taking one of their mobile phones.
He was arrested in Sue Crescent, where it’s alleged he spat in the eye of a police officer.
The man was bail refused and will reappear in court on Monday.
