We’ve lost hinterland tips because council “couldn’t afford it”, yet council keeps finding more and more money to spend on waste in suburbia, while we put up with an ever increasing amount of illegal dumping.
In reality, keeping hinterland tips open was chicken feed compared to what they are now spending on the clean up of illegal dumping and kerbside collections… and yet they still want to expand it? Where is this money now magically appearing from? I’ll will bet the farm that any extension of these services DOES NOT include all of the Hinterland areas.
It is very clear to me, that Tom Tate is now in “vote buying election mode” and there is simply not enough votes in the Hinterland for him to give us a second look.
