West Australian Ben Veitch took out the Australian Open Bodyboard Title at Gallows Beach in Coffs Harbour this afternoon.
The 25 year old from Maragaret River posted an 11.55 in the final to narrowly defeat Noah Symmans, also from W.A.
An oversees trip for the World Championships is next.
“The top three from the Open go to Chile to represent Australia in the world comps, so I’ve qualified for that so I’ll let it all sink in I think,” Ben said.
Today was the final day of the Australian Surf Festival.
