HOUSES DAMAGED IN OVERNIGHT FIRES

The rear of a timber cottage on Parkview Street Georgetown was damaged by fire last night at around 11:55pm.
Two occupants and three pets escaped with no injuries.
The fire was under control by 12:30am and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Meanwhile at Dora Creek the Peninsula Rural Fire Service attended a house fire on Gradwells Road at 9:15pm.
There was no-one home and the house was destroyed.
Police are now trying to locate the residents or owners.
