There’s just eight weeks to go until the construction phase of the Tamworth Adventure Playground kicks off.
The committee behind the project is calling on the community to lend a hand.
“People who are skilled in all manner of areas, from using tools to not using tools. We need some strong burley people as well to help carry materials around so we’re talking to the football clubs about that because it’s the off season for football.”
About 600 people have already signed up, including volunteers from the SES, Lions, Rotary groups and council.
